Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman Rock Lethbridge!
A resounding YES!
In two hours they played most of the favourites, and they started out with "American Woman". Lenny Kravitz should have been there. No one, absolutely NO ONE, does "American Woman" like Bachman and Cummings. Their band made everything sound just like the original music, which is rare.
The audience, ranging in ages from pre-teen to old geezers, had a hard time staying in their seats, and the two encores were absolutely raucous. Even this old girl was boogying like there was no tomorrow. This isn't exactly Dorne's kind of music, although he said he enjoyed himself. It was great to be there with someone who didn't mind if I rocked and rolled, sitting or standing. I sang with Bachman and Cummings, knowing almost all the words (and that's going back some .. umm ... 30 years or more?).
When they started singing "These eyes", mine started leaking little trickles of salty water.
I managed to take some pictures, but without a digital camera, you'll have to wait until I get them back, and scanned. Sigh.
Not a big deal. The big deal is that we were THERE, we had a BLAST, and most definately got our money's worth!
