The completed wrap, on the back of the couch. Ruffled edge actually has "roses" just like in the trellis, knit into it. I loved the way it formed a "shawl collar" when my mother put it on!

I have Barbara Walker's Treasuries of Knitting Patterns, Charted Knitting Designs, etc., and simply made a swatch with the wool and 4.5mm needles, then cast on enough stitches for four repeats, knit it 9 repeats long, then faked competence to do the edging ... hehe.
My mother was about 66 or 67 in that pic ... looks pretty good for an old gal, eh? hahaha (I'm sure she'll be reading this at some point). Hi Ma!!
